QUALITY CONTROL.

As every building industry professional knows, quality control consists of both tangibles and intangibles. When we’re in charge of managing your construction, we keep a close eye on both of these all of the time. The former are usually straightforward and obvious. The specified equipment and materials must be used, and the end result must satisfy our high professional standards. This means the marble must be of the grade and color specified; the walls must be straight and true; the wiring must be according to plan, and so forth and so on. Our two decades of experience with tangible quality control issues for some of the largest commercial real estate developers in the country have trained us to be able to evaluate these issues at a glance. Because our management takes place just as much “in the field” as “in the office,” we spot these problems early on and resolve them before they become serious. More difficult to quantify are the intangible quality control issues. Perhaps your contractor’s morale is down, due to personal or on-the-job issues, or they are distracted by other competing responsibilities. These intangibles often result in a slow erosion in overall quality that is difficult at the beginning to quantify, but that eventually results in sub-standard work across the boards, which can seriously impact your project’s appeal and value. Our construction management experience allows us to detect these quality control issues very early on, and our management abilities permit us to resolve them by understanding and motivating changes in attitude and orientation as needed.
