This is a crucial process, as it involves your assessment of your contractors’ fulfillment of their obligations, your expectations of what they must do to complete their work according to contract, and your terms for acceptance of their work as complete and delivered. In effect, an incomplete and ill-conceived checklist can mean an unfinished project, which you will have to later complete at your own expense. A proper and comprehensive checklist, on the other hand, lays down a fair definition of your contractors’ legal obligations. This process, nonetheless, is a delicate matter, as contractors often at this stage want to move on as rapidly as possible to other assignments.
