This ground up community shopping was entitled and constructed by RDS. RDS oversaw the management and coordination of two general building contractors, one prime site contractor, and numerous minor trade contractors to complete this 105,000 square foot Safeway anchored center for Regency Realty. The project broke ground in August 2001 and opened with all site improvements and buildings completed by April 3, 2002. With the winter construction schedule, many construction challenges were met, and solved, without schedule delay. Also, all off site public improvements, including road widening, extensive storm water drainage facilitates, and traffic signal installation were coordinated and completed during the winter months.
There were no significant cost overruns or schedule revisions or extensions. At project completion, the center was 92% leased and spaces immediately available for tenant buildout commencement.
